The Prince George Citizen says it’ll be changing its publication from a subscription-based daily newspaper to a free weekly.
According to a letter to its readers published yesterday afternoon (Sept. 18), the 103-year-old newspaper will be printing its last daily print on Friday, Sept. 28 and will become a weekly publication starting Oct. 3.
The newspaper will be "available in neighbourhood boxes and at various other central locations, along with home delivery in certain residential areas of the city."
The Citizen began its service in Prince George in 1916, publishing local stories surrounding northern capital news, sports, entertainment and community events.
