Filip Koffer is still on the radar of the Czech Republic’s World Junior roster for the 2021 tournament at the end of the year.
The Prince George Cougars’ import has received an invitation to train with the team once again, but this time, for the country’s under-20 summer camp this month.
Koffer has a consistent record of donning the crowned lion on his chest at international events after representing the Czechs at the Under-16, -17 and -18 championships in the last three years.
32 players have been invited to the Czech U20 training camp, which begins on June 14.

The now 19-year-old looks ahead to the prestigious IIHF World Junior Championship, set to take place in Edmonton and Red Deer starting Boxing Day (Dec. 26).
Last year, he was invited to World Junior camp weeks ahead of the 2020 event in his home country, but was ultimately cut.
Koffer led all Cougar rookies in the shortened 2019-20 campaign by potting 24 points in 59 games, including nine goals and 15 assists, but also put up an impressive 79 shots on goal.
He’ll be flying home to participate in the summer camp as the Czech Republic began lifting COVID-19 restrictions in early May, which includes hosting events of up to 500 people.
Koffer is one of 18 forwards invited to the training session.
Camp runs from June 14 to 19 in Rokycany, roughly 80 km southwest of Prague.
