A fire at a Prince George duplex yesterday (March 22) has caused extensive damage to a residence.
Prince George Fire Rescue says at approximately 4:30 p.m., they received a report of a structure fire in the 2110-block Oak St.
When the first set of crews arrived, it was discovered a duplex had flames and smoke coming from on side of the structure.
Assistant Chief Thad Kenney says a fast attack knocked the flames down, which stopped the fire from spreading to the other side of the duplex.
Occupants were at home when the fire broke out and escaped without injuries.
The fire caused approximately $150,000 in damage.
No fire crews were injured, but two were checked by BC Ambulance for heat exhaustion.
The investigation into the fire is still ongoing.
