A local elementary school has reported another suspicious vehicle incident.

Prince George RCMP are already investigating an initial report that a white pickup truck followed a student for several blocks on Feb. 19 at roughly 2:30 p.m.

In a letter dated today (Feb. 26), Heritage Elementary School Principal Linda Picton says another incident was reported on Monday (Feb. 25).

The letter states a couple of students reported a suspicious white pickup truck, which has promoted staff to reinforce safety protocol, including reminding students to walk in groups, with a friend, or go to a safe place if feeling threatened and let their parents/guardians know immediately.

The second incident allegedly occurred around the same time as the first, at 2:45 p.m.

During the initial report, no communication was allegedly made with the student.

This time, however, it was reported that a student was asked to "get in" in front of DP Todd Secondary School.

The description released by the school is:

  • Light-skinned man
  • Short hair with beard

"Parents, please talk to your children about safe practices to use when/if they are approached by a stranger and to remind them to never get into a vehicle with anybody without your permission," the letter also reads.

A file has been opened with Prince George RCMP and can be quoted as 2019-6351.
