Prince George figure skater looks to impress in free dance program at national championships

A young and well-known Prince George figure skater is looking to make a move tomorrow (Jan. 16) at the 2019 Canadian Tire National Skating Championships.

Eighteen-year-old Justin Hampole is competing at the championships in Saint John, N.B.  

He's taking part in the junior men's program, which consists of short program as well as a free dance. 

Hampole completed his short program yesterday (Jan. 14). He finished 10th with a score of 53.46, earning a 25.6 element score and a 28.60 program component score. 

The junior men's free program is scheduled for tomorrow with a starting time of 2:04 p.m. PST. 

The championships, which wrap up on Jan. 20, are streamed live. You can catch all the action on the Skate Canada website.
