Prince George Labour Day celebration set for Canada Games Plaza

The festivities, scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. in Canada Games Plaza, will feature a short march through downtown, followed at noon to 3 p.m. by a celebration at the plaza with speakers, music, lots of free food, games for kids, display booths and other activities.

A Labour Day march and celebration is scheduled for downtown Prince George today (Monday, Sept. 4).

The festivities, scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. in Canada Games Plaza, will feature a short march through downtown, followed at noon to 3 p.m. by a celebration at the plaza with speakers, music, lots of free food, games for kids, display booths and other activities.

The Labour Day Organizing Committee is coordinating the event, along with the North Central Labour Council and other local unions and community organizations, to highlight the vital role of labour in our community and the many contributions the labour movement has made to the betterment of all in society.
