A new resource is in Prince George for those looking for support with ALS.

The ALS Society of B.C. has announced a Prince George and Area Living with ALS Group will start in April.

The society says the support groups provide an open, friendly, and safe environment for ALS patients, family members, friends, and caregivers to discuss issues related to living with ALS.

Volunteers facilitate the groups and are ALS BC trained.

Meetings will be held on the second Wednesday of the month, starting on April 10, 2019.

The Support Group Facilitator for Prince George is Deborah Miller; she can be reached at [email protected] or 250-280-4742.

Meetings will be from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at St. Giles Presbyterian Church located at 1500 Edmonton St.
