Looks like power has been restored to thousands of homes in Prince George early this evening (July 16).
According to B.C. Hydro, over 5,500 of its customers in the city have their power back on after a substation fault put them in the dark for less than 30 minutes.
The outage ranged from the Gateway to UNBC and the Miworth area.
B.C. Hydro spokesperson Bob Gammer explains to PrinceGeorgeMatters the problem was quickly taken care of by crews.
He adds an investigation will take place as to how the fault occurred.

A massive power outage is taking place right now in Prince George.
B.C. Hydro is reporting over 5,500 of its customers without power in areas including the Gateway, UNBC, parts of Spruceland, and Miworth.
