UPDATE: Birds cause B.C. Hydro outage in Prince George, power restored

B.C. Hydro has restored power to residents in College Heights this evening (June 26).

Crews attended a power outage after 6 p.m. when 583 customers were left in the dark due to birds making contact on local wires.

6:10 p.m.

There's currently a power outage in Prince George. 

B.C. Hydro says as of 6:02, 583 customers are without power. 

Areas affected are west of St. John Crescent, east of North Street, south of Marleau Road and north of St. Patrick Avenue. 

The outage has been assigned to a B.C. Hydro crew. The cause is currently under investigation.
