Keep an eye on your hotel bookings again, Prince George.
First, it was Coast Inn of the North in Prince George, now it's the Ramada.
Employees were rallying outside the hotel's entrance this evening (Jan. 23) over wage increases.
The employees, who are members of UNITE HERE Local 40, say they have been without a wage increase for almost three years.
They claim the hotel is proposing a two-year wage freeze.
Employees say they currently make about $4 less than their counterparts at the Coast Inn of the North.
"Ramada invested $6 million dollars into the building recently, why won't they invest in us?" a rally pamphlet says.
Employees also say the Ramada is receiving $345,000 in tax breaks from the City of Prince George.
"Why do they get a tax break, and then pay us poverty wages?" the pamphlet reads.
Negotiations are set for Feb. 5, but if a fair deal is not reached, employees will have a strike vote on Feb. 6.
