Police are still looking for information about a 2009 stabbing that killed 44-year-old Vernon Baker

Prince George RCMP’s Serious Crimes Unit is reaching out to the public for information on the homicide of a man who was stabbed in 2009 in the VLA.

On April 11, 2009, at about 6:35 a.m., 44-year-old Vernon Baker went to a home on the 2300-block of Victoria Street where he told the residents there he had been stabbed.

Baker was transported to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries a short time later.

“Investigators are appealing to anyone who may have information about this tragedy to please come forward and speak with police,” said Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP.

 “Vernon’s family have never forgotten him and are still hoping to get answers as to what happened that morning.”
