Mounties in Prince George are investigating a homicide after a shooting yesterday evening (Dec. 14).
At approximately 5 p.m., Prince George RCMP received reports of possible shots fired in the 700-block Johnson St.
Once arrived, police located a man outside a home who was suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound.
The 30-year-old man was taken to hospital where he died a short time later from his injuries.
No suspects were located.
At this time, the RCMP's serious crime unit has been called in to lead the investigation. Anyone who may have seen the incident or has outdoor surveillance images are asked to contact the Prince George department at 250-561-3300.
The investigation is in the early stages, but police believe this was a targeted attack and the public is not at risk.
