Prince George RCMP seeking suspect in stabbing

The assault took place on May 30 on 12th Avenue downtown.

Prince George RCMP are asking the public’s help to identify as suspect in a stabbing which happened in May.

Just after 7 p.m. on May 30, police received a report that a man had been stabbed outside a retail business in the 1500-block of 12th Avenue, near the intersection of 12th Avenue and Victoria Street downtown.

When police arrived, they found the victim suffering from non-life-threatening injuries, a statement released by the RCMP on Friday said. The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.

“Police have processed the video surveillance obtained from the surrounding area and are looking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect,” Prince George RCMP spokesperson Cp. Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer said.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian (white) male with buzz-cut hair and no facial hair. He was last seen wearing camouflage pants, runners, a black sweatshirt and grey baseball cap.
