Retired Capt. Dean Wilson read the Firefighter's Prayer and a eulogy was read by Swan’s son-in-law Mike Bresett.
“Bruce would have a smile on his face if he looked around the room and saw how many people were here today,” said retired Capt. Al Leir. “Bruce was always known as a solid firefighter and as an officer, he knew his stuff and everybody on the fire department respected him for that.”
Swan was born in 1945 in Vancouver and moved to Prince George in 1969. He died after a sudden illness at the age of 73.
