“I’d like to highlight a couple of interesting pieces, the part about this being a record amount of building permits. That’s starting to be really repetitive. Year after year, after year we are seeing increases,” says Coun. Garth Frizzell during last night’s (Dec.16) council meeting.
“We are seeing lots of single-family dwellings, lots of multifamily dwellings, lots of commercials. This is a good news story about private investment in Prince George and it’s a record again. It’s just remarkable.”
The 54 permits issued last month, includes 12 new single-family dwellings at $5,086,704 and several new multi-family buildings.
A triplex, row housing consisting of 10 units, a foundation for an apartment building which will total 12 units totals $16,050,000.
As far as commercial, permits for six commercial building alterations at $726,374 were issued.
A permit for one new industrial building at $495,000 and completion permits for three new commercial buildings and an institutional building alteration were also issued.
