It was a powerful weekend for a few Prince George Special Olympics athletes and they have the medals to prove it.
The Special Olympics powerlifting athletes travelled to Victoria to take part in the Special Olympics Vancouver Island Powerlifting Championships on Saturday, May 4.
After months of preparation, the nine Prince George athletes were excited to show off their strength. They have been working with their coach weekly since October and were in top form for the competition.
All athletes did well; they all returned home with medals.
