Prince George RCMP have made an arrest regarding the homicide of a 26-year-old woman killed on July 2.
Mounties received a report of a stabbing outside the Prince George Courthouse around 10 p.m. and when officers arrived they found the woman suffering from injuries that appeared to be from at least one stab wound.
First aid was performed until paramedics could arrive at the scene. The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment of her injuries but died the next morning.
Only July 4, investigators with the Prince George RCMP's Serious Crime Unit located and arrested an adult female as part of the on-going investigation into the homicide.
The suspect was interviewed and released pending further investigation and file disclosure to the BC Prosecution Service. Police say this investigation remains a priority for the Detachment.
