An 18-year-old man is suffering from serious life-threatening injuries after a pedestrian-involved collision in Prince George last night (May 31).
On Sunday (May 31) at about 5 p.m., Prince George RCMP and other emergency personnel arrived on the corner of First Avenue and Ospika Boulevard, where the man was transported to hospital for treatment.
A 22-year-old woman was driving a mid-sized vehicle when the incident occurred, remained on scene and cooperated with police. Officers gathered evidence and seized the vehicle.
Police say alcohol is not believed to be a factor and all indications are that the pedestrian was in a marked crosswalk when the southbound vehicle collided with him.
The investigation is continuing and charges may be considered upon conclusion.
