The level of dust concentration in Prince George this morning (March 5) is slightly above normal.
As a result, Environment Canada has issued an air quality advisory for the city for the time-being.

Northern Health is suggesting seniors, young children, and those with chronic conditions to stay indoors in air-conditioned areas until the advisory is lifted.
The authority also advises residents to avoid outdoor strenuous activity.
If you're experiencing symptoms of chest discomfort, throat irritation, or shortness in breath, you're urged to call your doctor.
The City of Prince George's clean air bylaw also takes effect during the advisory, whereas banning all open burning, backyard burning, and land-clearing burning.
