Local garbage collectors now won't just dump your garbage.
Waste Management has announced they've teamed up with Prince George RCMP to help spot suspicious activity in a new waste watch program.
Ten waste management drivers will be trained to identify and report any problems to police, fire and other emergency services.
A release says waste management drivers start their routes in Prince George commercial areas and neighbourhoods early in the morning which the company says puts them in a special position to help be an extra set of eyes and ears for the public.
The training program will show them what to look for and who to contact if they see something out of the ordinary.

Some drivers already in the program in other communities have reported theft, vandalism, helping people in distress, and saving lives.
The program was started 15 years ago and is now active in more than 100 communities across North America.
Prince George Waste Management is local with roughly 30 employees based in the city.
