Masich Place Stadium has been closed for the season because of the icy conditions.
The city had planned to close the track on Saturday (Nov. 16) but closed it a few days early because of the icy weather.
The city says the closure is necessary to protect the track and turf from damage.
The track will reopen in the spring on a weather-dependent basis and all outdoor civic facilities are now closed for the winter.
The gates at the entrances to Connaught Hill and Nechako Riverside Parks have been closed to vehicular traffic.
Crews have also closed the outdoor public washrooms at Duchess and Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Parks for the season.
