A popular Prince George restaurant has announced one of its team members has tested positive for COVID-19.
Mr. Mikes confirmed the case on its Facebook page this evening (Oct. 22).
The establishment says the dates the affected employee last worked are as follows:
- Thursday, Oct. 15 = 12 to 8 p.m.
- Friday, Oct. 16 = Lunch service
- Saturday, Oct. 17 = Lunch service
- Sunday, Oct. 18 = Dinner service
Mr. Mikes says it has been in contact with Northern Health and are following all protocols and precautions for its team and guests.
The post adds Northern Health has no concerns about the restaurant remaining open.
"At this time all persons potentially affected have been contacted and are taking the necessary steps to self-isolate," the post reads.
"We will continue to monitor the situation closely, and, based on our implemented health and safety practices, Northern Health has no concerns with us continuing operate safely."
The restaurant said in the post that the team member involved is doing well.
As of this publication, Northern Health has recorded 365 positive tests for COVID-19 since March after four new ones were reported by Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry today.
