The Quesnel RCMP found drugs and weapons after executing a search warrant in the 700 block of Avison Avenue relating to an investigation into the manufacturing of firearms on Friday, Jan. 30.
Officers seized nine firearms, multiple firearm parts, 150 cartons of contraband cigarettes, 60 grams of methamphetamine, one ounce of cocaine, seven grams of crack cocaine, two 3D printers and approximately $4,800 in cash.
“Due to the good work done by the Crime Reduction Unit, several firearms have been removed from the streets,” said Sgt. Clay Kronebusch in a press release.
The 35-year-old suspect was as arrested and has since been released pending further investigation.
Once the investigation is complete the results will be sent to the BC Prosecutor's Office to determine appropriate charges.
