The emergency response team was called out and the 1500 and 1600 blocks of Fir Street were cordoned off Thursday afternoon when RCMP executed a drug related search warrant on a home in the area.
Neighbouring homes were also evacuated as the team, wearing body armour, helmets and carrying semi-automatic weapons and equipped tactical armoured vehicle showed up at the scene at about 1:20 p.m.
The extra steps were taken as a precaution, Prince George RCMP Cpl. Craig Douglass said, because of the nature of the call and the history of the residence.
"We felt that we should do our due diligence and obviously, public safety is paramount.
Douglass declined to say if the home is the Renegades clubhouse.
"It's a residence well known to us in the past but not so much in the recent past," Douglass said.
One person was taken into custody.
