The Whistler RCMP are seeking public assistance in identifying the family of a found child so he can be safely returned to their care.
A non-verbal boy found in Whistler Saturday is the focus of an RCMP call for assistance.
Police say the boy, who appears to be about 12, was found in the Dairy Queen at 4338 Main Street.
He was barefoot and cannot speak. "While the investigation has continued through the night, there is no indication where the child came from or who his family is," police say.
The boy has a light brown complexion, short brown hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a green t-shirt with a button collar and heather grey shorts.
Anyone who recognizes the boy or who has any information about his family is urged to call the Whistler RCMP at 604-905-3044 immediately.
