Robber fires bear spray at store employees

Suspect made off with $1,400 worth of goods from 1900-block Victoria Street store

Prince George RCMP are asking the public’s help in their search for a man who fired bear spray at store employees during a robbery.

Police were called to the store in the 1900-block of Victoria Street just before noon on Monday and were told the suspect used a hammer to smash a glass case and made off with some jewelery after deploying the spray.

He fled on a red BMX bike with a blue right rear triangle and white front tire and was wearing a red hat, two masks, glasses, black gloves, a dark grey sweater, grey sweatpants and black and white shoes.

The employees escaped serious injury, but the suspect made off with roughly $1,400 in stolen goods.

Anyone who may have seen the suspect flee or has dashcam footage from the area at that time is asked to contact Prince George RCMP at 250-561-3300. Quote file number 2022-29166.”
