Record number take Ness Lake polar bear dip plunge

Money raised from this event will go towards the camper sponsorship fund which makes camp possible for families who would otherwise not be able to afford it.

A record 216 participants, including a family visiting from Mexico, took part in the 23rd annual New Year’s Day polar bear dip at Ness Lake Bible Camp on Monday.

The brave dippers raised $27,735.97 for the camp, with the top fundraisers being the Carol and Mark Stofer with $10,400, Prince George city councillor Trudy Klassen with $3,075 and Julianna Deweerd with $1,000.
