Parents who want to register their children for introductory-level swimming lessons for the fall or winter this year might want to get up early on Thursday.
Registration for swimming lessons for the fall and winter sessions at the Canfor Leisure Pool and Prince George Aquatic Centre opens at midnight on June 1.
“Swim for Life is a complete learn-to-swim program which includes parent and tot, preschool, school age, and adult swimming lessons,” the City of Prince George posted on its social media account. “Swim for Life leads seamlessly into the Lifesaving Society's lifesaving/lifeguarding training awards.”
Demand was high for the Swimmer 1 and Swimmer 2 programs during the summer, with many sessions being completely full and waitlisted.
Spaces in higher-level programs, such as Swimmer 3, 4, 5 and 6, were still available for sessions starting in July and August, as of Wednesday.
