Most people turn their clocks, watches, mocrowaves etc. back an hour before going to bed on the Saturday prior. This means night will fall earlier in the months ahead.
The sun will set at 4:32 p.m. Sunday and rise at 7:19 a.m. Monday to start the workweek.
Prince George will see the winter solstice, the shortest daylight hours of the year, at 1:20 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 21.
The day prior, Dec. 20, will see the sun rise at 8:27 a.m. and set at 3:50 p.m., meaning Prince George will have 9 hours and 44 minutes less daylight than the spring sostice in June.
