The lone occupant of a VLA apartment was taken to hospital after a fire that took place last night (May 7).
Prince George Fire Rescue says the resident was treated for minor smoke inhalation after flames engulfed a second-storey suite that left a $150,000 price tag and is now under investigation.
After 8:30 p.m., crews responded to a structure blaze on 2500-block, Oak St., where they found heavy smoke coming out of the apartment.
Nearly 20 firefighters from four different halls conducted an interior attack and used pressure ventilation to contain the flames from its point of origin.
One resident from the suite was then brought to hospital.
No other details have been released at this time.
