University Way will be closed for the next three weeks to allow for the installation of new paving panels on the Shane Creek Bridge.

Motorists who use University Way to access the UNBC campus and connect to Highway 16 West from 15th Avenue will have to find an alternate route for the next three weeks.

Reconstruction of paving panels on the Shane Creek Bridge began Tuesday and the road is expected to be closed until Sept 15.

Tyner Boulevard is now the only road that provides access to the university campus on Cranbrook Hill.

Some bus route will be affected during the closure.

Six bus stops along 15th Avenue between Foothills Boulevard and Ospika Boulevard are now temporarily closed.

The detour affects three BC Transit routes, including Route 15 (UNBC/Downtown), Rote 16 (UNBC/College Heights) and Route 19 (UNBC/Westgate).

Got to the BC Transit website for more details on the detours and bus schedules.
