School district's shortfall down by $1.8 million

Trustees have a shallower hole to dig the school district out of as a result of updated budget allocation figures from the Ministry of Education.

They're now looking at a shortfall of $5.2 million for the 2010-11 school year, school board chair Lyn Hall said Wednesday, down $1.8 million from the $7 million they were look at prior to this week's number crunching.
