Students started class again today at schools throughout the province, and that means school zones are in effect again.
Prince George RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Craig Douglass said drivers should slow down and watch for pedestrians, especially small children excited to be returning to class.
"We are deploying resources to school zones for enforcement," Douglass said. "Schools may not look like they're in session, as I understand they'll have reduced numbers of students, but treat those school zones like they're in effect."
School buses will also be back on the road, and drivers are reminded to stop and not pass school buses which have their red lights flashing.
