Saturday, Jan. 15 is voting day for the Prince George School District 57 in a by-election to fill two vacant school board trustee positions.
One trustee will represent the Prince George electoral area, while the other will represent the Mackenzie region.
The vacancies were created Sept. 13 when school board chair Trent Derrick and Mackenzie-area trustee Shuirose Valimohamed resigned following the release of a special advisors report that identified systemic racism in the school district.
Nominations for the two trustee positions will be received by the Chief Election Officer or Deputy Chief Election Officer starting at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov.30 until 4 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 10.
