See Draco the dragon constellation in the night sky at PG Observatory

Draco the dragon constellation will be the subject of the Prince George Astronomical Society's public open house at the Observatory on Friday, Oct. 27 starting at 7:00 pm.

There will be a presentation about Draco the dragon constellation during the Prince George Astronomical Society's public open house at the Observatory on Friday, starting at 7 pm.

The Constellation Draco is presented by Glen Harris who will speak at 7 and 8:30 p.m. The constellation symbolizes the dragon Ladon, who guarded the goddess Hera's golden apples. Find out what happened to Ladon during the presentation.

Following each talk and weather permitting, viewing through the main telescope and telescopes on the viewing deck as well as a laser pointer tour of the early autumn sky will occur. Dress warmly, as the evenings are getting colder and it’s about 6 C cooler at the Observatory.

A donation of $2 per person or $5 per family would be appreciated.
