Several more deep-freeze days ahead for Prince George

Expect some snow as well before temperatures return to around zero in December

More snow and cold weather is expected in the days ahead.

Saturday's blowing snow was a hint of what's to come.

Another cold and snowy week is in store for Prince George, Environment Canada reports, with snowfall expected to continue through several days. Starting Saturday night, periods of snow will bring local accumulations of up to 2 cm, with temperatures dipping to -14 C and a windchill near -23 C.

Sunday will see snow tapering off by noon, with cloudy conditions for the remainder of the day and a high of -12 C. Wind chills will remain frigid, reaching -23 C in the morning and -17 C in the afternoon.

The night will bring partly cloudy skies with fog patches forming after midnight, and a low of -16 C, feeling like -20 C due to the windchill.

The forecast for Monday calls for a mix of sun and cloud, with a high of -11 C. A cloudy night will follow, with temperatures dropping to -15 C.

Tuesday will bring a mix of sun and cloud and a high of - 9C, with cloudy conditions and a 70 per cent chance of flurries overnight, dropping to -15 C. Snow will return on Wednesday with temperatures reaching a high of -8 C and a low of -17 C that night.

Thursday will be cloudy with a 60 per cent chance of flurries, with temperatures remaining around -14 C during the day and -21 C at night.

For Friday, a mix of sun and cloud and a high of -15 C.

Conditions are expected to return to seasonal norms during the first week of December, with Weather Network forecasts calling for temperatures hovering around freezing, with the possibility of rain.
