B.C. Liquor Stores annual Share a Bear program starts up on Monday and this year, twin bears will be polar bear cubs outfitted with sparkly scarves - one blue and one silver - will be the centrepiece.
Customers can purchase the bears for $11 and then "share" one of the twins with a local community charity that is chosen by the staff of the store where the bears were purchased.
The Share a Bear program began in BC Liquor Stores in 1989 and has grown over the years to donations of over 30,000 bears every year to children and families in need.
