"Having two new deputy sheriffs in Prince George will help make our courts and justice administration more effective and efficient," Mike Morris, MLA for Prince George-Mackenzie said in a press release.

The new sheriffs were trained at the Justice Institute of B.C. and will be primarily assigned to escorting prisoners between the courthouse, correctional centre and RCMP lock-up; providing courthouse security; jury management; and government protection services.
