Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the Prince George area, with total amounts of about 10 cm expected.
Snow, heavy at times is expected from this evening to Tuesday evening, in Prince George, west to Vanderhoof and south through Quesnel to Horsefly.
Rapidly accumulating snow will make travel difficult, Environment Canada warns, urging drivers to be prepared to adjust to changing road conditions.
After the snow, sun and bitter cold is in the forecast for the rest of the week. On Wednesday, Environment Canada is predicting a high of -20 C and a low of -34 C, a high of -29 C and a low of -37 C on Thursday, and a high of -30 C and a low of -42 C on Friday.
