A pair of snowfall warnings are in effect outside of Prince George's local region.
Environment Canada has issued an alert once again for Highway 97 north of the city at the Pine Pass, as well as Highway 16 east between Tête Jaune Cache and the Alberta Border.
Highway 16's took effect after 4:30 a.m. this morning (Nov. 26), while Highway 97's has been in place since 3:25 p.m. on Wednesday (Nov. 25).
In both cases, up to 15 cm of snow is expected as an approaching weather system is expected to move through B.C.'s central interior tonight and tomorrow (Nov. 27).
Windy conditions and flurries may cause limited visibility for commuters, which could lead to hazardous driving conditions at different elevations.
In the case of the Pine Pass, there's another system in the forecast to dump more snow all-day Friday.
Environment Canada encourages everyone, especially those considered essential travellers, to adjust driving habits and to use winter tires and chains.
