The B.C. Lottery Corporation is reporting that a ticket bought in the Prince George-Mount Robson area is the sole winner of Friday's $13 million Lotto Max jackpot.

The winning B.C. ticket was the only one sold across the province – and across Canada – to match all seven winning numbers: 2, 7, 8, 26, 30, 43, and 48. The odds of winning the Lotto Max jackpot are 1 in 33,294,800 or the same as picking a random spot on a football field to stick a pin into the grass and hitting the one ant on the field. That's also roughly the number of teaspoons of water in the pools at the Prince George Aquatic Centre.

All lottery prize winners have 52 weeks from the draw date printed on their ticket to come forward to claim their prize. The specific retail location where the winning lottery ticket was purchased, and the lottery winners’ name(s) will be announced after the winner has come forward to claim their prize.

In 2020, B.C. lottery players redeemed more than $99 million in winnings from Lotto Max.
