Tickets are going fast for the Prince George Spruce Kings’ doubleheader promotion this Saturday at Kopar Memorial Arena.
The Spruce Kings are taking on the high-flying Penticton Vees in BCHL action in their last regular season visit to Prince George, starting at 7 p.m.
But before that, at 4:30 p.m., the Prince George Firefighters will play the Prince George RCMP in the Sirens Cup – their chance to settle bragging rights in a Guns ‘n Hoses exhibition.
Fans 19 years and older who show up for the Kings game Saturday are eligible for a draw to shoot a hockey puck through a slot to win a new car, 2022 Volkswagen Tiguan Comfortline, sponsored by Hub City Volkswagen.
Brownridge Insurance is also sponsoring the Spruce Kings 50-50 draw and will put $5,000 into the prize pot.
“We’ve worked long and hard on this doubleheader with Prince George RCMP and Prince George Firefighters,” said Spruce Kings business operations manager Kyle Anderson. “To be able to add the Shoot to Win Contest and a $5,000 guaranteed 50/50 will bring the energy just that much higher on Saturday.”
All money raised in Sirens Cup game will be divided between the Prince George RCMP Victim Services Society and the Prince George Firefighters Charitable Society.
Tickets for the game are available through the Kings website.
The Spruce Kings are back in action at Kopar Memorial Arena tonight at 7 p.m. to take on the Powell River Kings.
Prince George (23-16-4-1-0), fourth in Interior Conference) has already clinched a playoff spot. The Spruce Kings are just one point behind West Kelowna for third in the conference.
