The Sun Life Walk to Cure Diabetes is coming to Prince George on June 11.

The Sun Life Walk to Cure Diabetes is coming to Prince George on Sunday.

The event is a fundraiser for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s research into Type 1 diabetes.

“Throughout the month of June, which is Walk Month for JDRF, more than 40 walks will be held in communities across Canada,” a statement released by the walk organizers on Wednesday said. “Together, they have a collective goal of raising $3.1 million to help accelerate life-changing T1D research.”

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Walk to Cure Diabetes.

The local walks happens at the Central BC Railway and Forestry Museum on Sunday (June 11), starting at 10 a.m.
