You'll be seeing two Landrys on the court when the UNBC women's basketball team starts their 2019-20 campaign.
Third-year currently, fourth year next season, Madison Landry will be joined by her younger sister Rebecca after the younger Landry graduates from high school this summer.
Rebecca is currently a Grade 12 student at Duchess Park and is also part of the junior Timberwolves program.
She won the Zone MVP in 2018 after leading the Condors to the title. She's a dynamic shooting guard/small forward who can play both ends of the floor. Landry is also a two-time city all-star.
"Going to the rim is one of my strengths. I like playing defence, and I am pretty vocal, which is usually what coaches are looking for," she says in a press release. "I always give 100 per cent, and I am always trying to get better every single practice."

UNBC women's basketball head coach Sergey Shchepotkin landed Madison when she committed to UNBC in 2016 and says he sees similarities between the two.
“I am really excited to see two Landrys on the court. Rebecca and Madison play a similar game," he says in the release "They’re both long and skilled, and really intelligent, so that is exciting for us."
After winning the zones last season, Rebecca would help Duchess Park score a fifth-place finish in the B.C. Provincials the same season. She couldn't turn down the opportunity to play alongside her sister and play in her hometown.
"I used to play against a lot of the girls who are on the team right now," she says. "I like the support of my family, and the chance to play with my sister is really cool. We have never played together, so I am excited to see how we are going to connect on the court.”
