The city is almost within 100 days until the Canada Winter Games torch ignites the community. It's a countdown to the fire in thousands of hands relaying across the landscape and it is a countdown to the fire in the heart of Prince George to welcome Canada to Lheidli T'enneh territory and to our 100-year-old city.
To celebrate the 100 Days countdown milestone, a community celebration will be held on Tuesday evening and the special guest star will be the torch itself. Live entertainment and fireworks will send the flame off on its northern B.C. journey.
The torch will be paraded through the core of the city starting at the YMCA of Northern BC at 5 p.m. and finishing at Canada Games Plaza at 7 p.m. Everyone is invited to catch the heat, starting Tuesday night. Follow the torch along the route, and especially enjoy the activities in front of the Civic Centre in Canada Games Plaza.

- 4 p.m. Park-and-ride at Pine Centre Mall to Canada Games Plaza
- 5 p.m. Illuminate The North torch relay begins at YMCA of Northern BC
- 5 p.m. Festivities begin at Canada Games Plaza
- 7 p.m. See the torch carried into the plaza and enjoy the beginning of official 100 Days Out festivities upon its arrival.
- 8:30 p.m. Fireworks.
