Two of the biggest acts in cowboy hats are coming back to Prince George, together in one wild night of country, and they're uplifting an up-and-coming act in the process.
Toby Keith and George Canyon are dominant forces on modern country radio. You can see them both on Feb. 25 at CN Centre. Joining them are Canadian Country Music Award "Rising Star" winners One More Girl.
Keith is a certified superstar, and his speedy sellout of CN Centre on his last tour proved it. His latest album is "Bullets In the Gun" and it builds on past megahits like "How Do You Like Me Now?", "I Love This Bar" and "Beer For My Horses" among many others.
Joining Keith is Canadian multi-award winner Canyon. He was already well known (he was the runner-up in the 2004 Nashville Star TV competition) when he rocketed up the charts on the strength of the hit crossover song "My Name". His other hits include the Crystal Shawanda duet "In Your Arms Again", "Pretty Drunk Out Tonight", and a country cover of the Crowded House pop classic "Better Be Home Soon".
One More Girl is the stage name for sisters Britt McKillip (also a star in the TV series and movie "Dead Like Me") and Carly McKillip (also the voice of TV cartoon character Sakura Avalon and played the title character in the TV show "Alice, I Think") who have been igniting interest all over the airwaves for the five hits off their debut album "Big Sky".
Tickets to see this triple threat night go on sale Monday at 10 a.m. at the CN Centre Box Office and Studio 2880 plus online through Ticketmaster. Prices range from $90 to $120 plus service fees and taxes.
