Tourism Prince George is kicking off Tourism Week with a new campaign to encourage residents to be tourists in their own city, and an open house for tourism stakeholders and the public at their visitor centre.
The open house runs until 4:30 p.m. today and features popcorn, prize giveaways, opportunities for selfies with Mr. PG and more. Tourism Prince George is also launching their Bites, Flights and Sights Passport Trail campaign to encourage residents and visitors to support local restaurants, retailers and tourism experiences
“Tourism Week is an annual, national and provincial invitation for all tourism partners and stakeholders to come together to champion and promote our destinations, tourism businesses, and employees,” Tourism Prince George CEO Colin Carson said in a statement issued this week. “We are extremely proud of the new brand and are looking forward to its official launch in market on June 1st, targeting visitors outside of BC, Alberta, Yukon, Washington, and Ontario.”
Tourism Week runs from May 29 to June 4.
