Tourism Prince George has released a 60-second video to showcase what the city has to offer.

“As the basecamp to the north, we’re a starting point for northern adventure,” Colin Carson, CEO of Tourism Prince George, said.

“It also means we get a lot of snow and cold days. We want to celebrate that.”

The video takes viewers on a journey of different trails, parks and activities to enjoy even when the temperatures are colder.

“We know not everyone gets a proper winter so we’re telling folks around the world that they can experience one right here in Prince George,” Carson added.

The video will be marketed across multiple platforms reaching potential visitors from the US, Asia and Europe.

“Not only will this video attract tourists, but also potential conference, sport and live entertainment organizers. Showing off the different facilities - some of which are world-class - is a wonderful way to highlight our city,” Carson said.

Winter Greatest Hits showcases cross-country skiing at Caledonia Nordic Ski Club, winter walks at Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park and catching a hockey game at CN Centre.

Viewers may recognize a familiarity in the Winter Greatest Hits video. It’s a continuation from the successful Summer Greatest Hits, which saw more than 1.7 million clickable impressions.

Winter Greatest Hits was filmed and produced by local company 6ix Sigma.
