Expect delays of up to 20 minutes at the intersection of Highway 16 and Ferry Road this week as a crew works on the installation of a left-turn signal at the spot.
The work began Monday and will continue through to the end of Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., according to DriveBC.
It includes the concrete bases and pedestals for the signals, the lights, the signal controller, and wiring. The project will be completed and operational this fall, a Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure spokeswoman said.
It is one of two such projects along Highway 16, the other being at the intersection with Vance and Cowart Roads following a fatality at the location in April.
The total cost of the projects is estimated at $500,000.
