Treasure fourth at Drake Relays

In her first competition since the Commonwealth Games two weeks ago in Gold Coast, Australia, Alyx Treasure finished fourth Friday in the prestigious Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa.
The 25-year-old from Prince George cleared 1.85 metres and finished tied for fourth with Erica Kinsey, equaling her finish from her first Commonwealth Games.
Vashti Cunningham of Las Vegas, Nev., won the Drake title, clearing the bar at 1.94 m, four centimetres shy of the meet record of 1.98m set in 2012 by American Chaunte Lowe.
Inika McPherson of Galveston, Texas won silver (1.91m) and Lavern Spencer of St. Lucia claimed bronze (1.88m).
The Drake Relays outdoor meet is considered one of the top annual track and field events in the U.S.
